Are you worried that while you try to defend against UV, your sunscreen does more harm than good by introducing harmful chemicals to your body? Studies have shown that 2 potent and harsh ingredients, Oxybenzone and Octinoxate are used in 3,500 of the world’s most popular sunscreens. They penetrate the skin’s layers, dispersing in our bodies, and are even detected in mothers’ milk when nursing mothers use them.

Our Water UV Cream is not a chemical sunscreen. It is a “physical” sunblock in which we use minerals to “physically block” and reflect light rays away. The 2 minerals with this ability are Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. To double the effectiveness of our sunblock, we use both of them in a single tube of Water UV Cream.

We have heard the voices of customers requesting higher SPF when they get to know that our Water UV Cream is SPF 23. But it’s important to understand each point of SPF delays the effect of UV on the skin by 20 minutes. Our SPF 23 sunblock means that it has an effective duration of 460 minutes total. That is almost 8 hours! It is enough to get you coverage for the whole day. We’d rather include more ingredients that carry benefits against sun damage, like Shea Butter, than to chase a higher SPF number.

Shea Butter is able to flourish under the extreme dryness and scorching heat in Africa. It is so strong, resistant and nourishing that African women use it for moisturizing and skin protection. Our Water UV Cream uses Shea Butter, together with 6 other organic plant oils to protect, soothe, pacify and calm your skin from the effects of the sun. UV rays also cause oxidative damage to the skin resulting in sunspots and blemishes. That’s why we specially added in Green Tea, loaded with Catechin for anti-oxidizing effects.
